How to Stay Motivated When things are flat

#businestips #marketing #onlinesuccess

We all expereince flat spells in business. It will happen, regardless of who you are. So what do you do when crickets are chirping day after day? Flat spots in your business allow you time to re-focus, take a breather, and resort back to what works. You see many times the flat spots in business are due to you veiring off course. It's not your fault! We all do it once in a while. What is important is an awareness of solution to regain, correct and go back to the critical activities needed.

Staying motivated when you haven't enrolled a single customer or business partner in weeks is very hard. The simple solution is to throw your hands in the air and give up. The unfortunate truth is, if you do this you will find yourself coming back to ground zero at some point. We have all been there. Quit, join a new business, and repeat everytime you don't get results. Let me shed some light on this and help you find your path, again.

Self-motivation is extremely hard. I don't recommend you build any business alone, however for this post, let's say this is the case. Or let's say you are struggling and tired of seeing how amazing your team is doing, causing you to avoid them. Now you are alone because you stopped connecting with your support system. Of course as bad as this is, there is hope for us all!

You my friend need to get back to the basics! Stop expecting too much to happen and focus on small wins. When I say small wins, I mean SMALL wins. For example, making 5 new contacts in a day is a small win. Your buisness needs new contacts to grow. If you add 5 more to your list, it moved in the right direction. Finding 3 new places to go to either online or offline that could lead to new connections is a small win. Let these small wins motivate you to turn these activities into routine behaviors. This will lead to hundreds on new contacts and new possibilities.

Reaching out to 5 people a day to get to know them is a small win. These conversations can lead to a solid approach or solution at some point. Let it happen. You never know when the conversation will allow you to help, thus potentially leading to a new conversation. A solution! These are small wins.

Maybe your team is not engaged. You become negative, depressed over it, and feel your business is done for. This is another flat spot, that's all. Gain some small wins. Reach out to a partner and start a conversation. Get them talking about life, their day, and find a way to motivate him/her. Just like you, they need a little motivation so they can enjoy small wins. Their small wins add up, your small wins add up, together business starts to move forward.

Its easy to fall prey to huge outcomes when your in your own business. When this doesn't happen, dissappointment can set in. Set small goals to avoid this and celebrate the little things you accomplish. The little activities will add up over time. Now big things will happen and when they do be excitted. I caution you it is easy to stop your critical business activities when they do as you think you made it past that. Your making moeny now and people are working, time to sit back and relax. Ooops, now your in a flat spell again. Are you growing your list, reaching out, following up, setting appointments, presenting your business like you did in the beginning?

Stay on that straight, boring road that got you to where you were in the first place. New to business and still trying to figure out this initial bliss? Follow the critical steps to business and enjoy the simple wins and you will. Building a ontact list, making approaches, setting appointments, giving your business overview and following up work. Now you will master the art and revitalize it over time, but you will always do it. These are the fundamental steps needed to grow a business. Avoid detouring to long. Often the shiny objects promising to take your business to the next level without performing these tasks, just slow you down in the end. Get good at these skills. Learn from these skills. Motivate yourself to push these skillls forward and reap the small wins. Victoria never tasted so good! ENJOY
